United Arab Emirates. Will this player be able to play regular blu-rays from any region. The user manual seems to imply that the player is region free, but there is no certainty to it.Tried to play a region B blu ray (German release) of 'The Berlin File' and the player said, 'Mismatch between disc and player region codes. See packaging for details.' So unless there is a region hack for this player, the answer is no. I did see someone selling a modded region free Samsung UBD K8500 on amazon though. Maybe you want to check that out?
